What happens if we don’t renew our Culinary Capitals license or if we lose our certification?
If your destination loses its Culinary Capitals certification, or if you choose not to renew in any year, you will lose all of your benefits. You won’t get an updated annual performance report or annual certification logo. You won’t benefit from monthly strategic planning calls. Your listing on our website will be removed. Your destination will no longer be included in any marketing or other visibility opportunities that are part of the program. You will be welcome to apply again at any point in the future.
If your destination is a Culinary Capital, but upon reapplying (to get your updated annual report), your lose your Culinary Capitals status (due to an insufficient score), you will move directly into our Culinary Candidates program. We will work with you over the next 12 months to identify what happened and what your destination needs to do to regain Culinary Capitals status.
