What does the Culinary Certified Tourist Guide application consist of?
The Culinary Certified Tourist Guide application is comprised of the following components:
You'll start your application by registering your contact details, validating your eligibility, and then pay the application fee. This is also where you will upload a copy of your current guide license if you have one. If not, then you will upload your additional required documentation.
Next, you will proceed through the training modules. Most of our training is delivered online through our World Food Travel Academy, our state-of-the-art online learning system. A certification training is conducted only in English, and we are open to certified local ambassadors providing training locally in other languages. You will be able to pause, rewind, fast forward and slow down the speech within the training videos. Note that you will not be able to download the videos, nor do we make any workbooks available. Everything you need to watch or study you will find inside our custom learning system. After each module, you will take a comprehension examination with multiple-choice, true/false, and fill-in-the-blank questions. You must score at least 75% correct answers to pass the test. There is an optional resources section if you would like to explore (no extra cost).
After the tests, you'll need to complete a final essay, which is reviewed by our faculty advisors. Your final essay is either pass or fail. We will provide you with feedback on your score.
